Official Halcyon Rules of Conduct

HALCYON is private property. In order to provide a safe, secure, and pleasant environment, we request your cooperation in complying with the following “Rules of Conduct” to be followed by all patrons.

1. HALCYON is for shopping, dining & entertainment. Treat others as you like to be treated. Appropriate behavior does not include fighting, rough-housing, harassment, offending others or provoking confrontations, or disruptive conduct of any nature.

2. Act responsibly. Please refrain from …

  • Shouting, making loud noises, or using indecent language
  • Playing loud music other than what the Property provides
  • Throwing or kicking any objects
  • Leaving children unattended
  • Defacing, damaging, or destroying any property belonging to the Property, its patrons, or its tenants
  • Assembling in a manner that disturbs the public peace

3. Allow others to shop safely and comfortably. Please …

  • Do not block access to store entrances and corridor or parking areas
  • Walk; don’t run, skate, or skateboard
  • Do not ride bicycles in public gathering areas or sidewalks; please walk bicycles
  • Park bicycles in designated bicycle racks
  • Do not ride electric bicycles or scooters on the roadways; please walk electric bicycles and scooters on sidewalks and common areas
  • Use our benches, chairs, and lower walls for sitting
  • All animals and/or pets are welcome on the property and should be on a leash; pet stations and water bowls are located throughout the center for your convenience – do not leave animals unattended in parked cars
  • This is a smoke-free property – no smoking or vaping, including all electronic cigarettes (there is a designated smoking area on the fourth level of the parking garage)
  • WEAPONS OF ANY TYPE ARE NOT PERMITTED ON HALCYON PROPERTY

4. No glass is permitted in common areas. Food and beverages consumed on-site should be purchased from Halcyon establishments.

5. No public forums, no personal gatherings including but not limited to picnics and parties.

6. Observe all Federal, State, and Local Laws. Use of alcoholic beverages is restricted to designated areas and designated containers. During regular school hours, excluding lunch breaks, unaccompanied minors will be asked to leave the property.

7. Please dress appropriately and observe all health codes and local laws. Clothing should not be worn which is obscene or offensive in nature.

8. Please visit the Management Office to request permission to take videotapes, professional photo shoots or make audio tapes of or on Halcyon property or storefronts. Without prior, written permission from Management, no such activity is permitted.

9. Distribution of literature, solicitation, demonstrations, and special promotions or using the property for any purpose other than shopping is prohibited without prior written permission from the Management Office as permitted by law. If you have any questions, please visit the Management Office for more information.

10. When HALCYON is closed, please leave the property. Please do not park or loiter on the property after closing. Unauthorized vehicles parked overnight may be towed at Owner’s expense.

11. Please follow these Rules of Conduct. If you do not, we will ask you to leave and stay away for a specified period of time. You may also be subject to prosecution for violation of applicable laws or ordinances. Official Halcyon Animal Code of Conduct

Customers 18 years or older may bring their leashed, well-behaved domesticated animals to the common areas of HALCYON.

All owners are legally responsible for the behavior of their animals and should be aware that there are certain risks associated with allowing animals to interact with other people, children, and animals.

All persons visiting Halcyon must ask permission from an animal’s owner before approaching or petting an animal. Do not crowd animals, as they may become nervous and may exhibit negative behavior.

Animal owners bringing their animals to HALCYON must follow these rules:

  • All animals must be leashed or contained inside a carrier at all times. Leashes (including retractable leashes) must be no longer than six feet.
  • Animals must be supervised by and under the direct control of their owners at all times. At no time is an owner permitted to leave his or her animal(s) unattended. This includes but is not limited to, leaving animals in cars and tethering animals to HALCYON amenities such as benches and light poles.
  • No soliciting for the sale of any animals or pets.
  • Owners must be 18 years of age or older and by law, are responsible for the behavior of their animals. Do not leave your animal in a minor’s care.
  • Each owner is limited to a maximum of two (2) animals while on the property.
  • Animals are not permitted to enter any restaurants or food-related stores unless they are Service Animals or otherwise expressly allowed by the respective restaurant or food-related store.
  • Animals are not permitted in any water displays, fountains, or the lake.
  • Animal owners are required to immediately pick up and properly dispose of the feces of their animals. Animals waste disposal, bag stations, and code of conduct signs are located throughout HALCYON’s common areas.
  • Animals are not permitted to urinate on buildings or hardscapes.
  • Animals must be legally licensed in the jurisdictional area in which they reside, have a current vaccination for rabies, and wear visible animal licenses and tags.
  • Animal owners are required to comply with the laws, rules, and regulations of the state of Georgia and local codes relating to animals.
  • If at any time, the behavior of an animal is causing a disturbance or presenting a danger to others, or the animal is acting aggressively, the owner must immediately remove his or her animal from Halcyon.
  • Animal owners must immediately notify HALCYON of any incident involving their animal and provide all relevant information to HALCYON. Notifications should be directed to the Halcyon Security Office at (770) 864-9064.
  • Owners are solely responsible for any injuries or damage caused by the animal(s) under their control. HALCYON shall not be liable for any injury or damage caused by any animal on the property. To the maximum extent permitted by law, all animal owners hereby agree to indemnify, save harmless, and release
  • HALCYON from and against any and all liabilities in connection with loss of life, bodily injury, personal injury, theft, and/or property damage arising out of their animals being on the property.
  • If any of these rules are violated, the owner(s) will be asked to leave HALCYON with their animal.

Individual merchants may have their own policies related to animals permitted on their premises. You must check with each merchant prior to bringing your animal(s) into the store. The comfort and convenience of our human visitors are our top priorities.

Please help keep HALCYON animal-friendly by showing responsible ownership and maintaining well-behaved pets.

In compliance with ADA guidelines, all ADA-defined service animals (“Service Animals”) are welcome at HALCYON. People accompanied by Service Animals should comply with applicable ADA rules. None of the above rules that conflict with the ADA will apply to Service Animals.
